The Connecticut Bead Society is a volunteer driven non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the joy of beading through inspiration and education. We provide the opportunity to meet kindred spirits with similar goals and take pleasure in our art and in each others company.
We regret to announce that Kabela Designs has decided to retire and so they will not be doing our December meeting.
Instead we will be making another ornament and doing a White Elephant Bead Swap with Holiday Party.
The pattern is at this link... http://www.thebeadsknees.co.uk/jewelleryprojects/christmasicicle.php#.UN9HwMSb8u4.pinterest
Please make a copy of the pattern or download to your phone or tablet. I will make a few extra copies to bring.
You will need to bring the normal beading supplies as well as 1) 50 - 4 mm Firepolish or round beads
2) 1.5 grams of size 8 seed beads
3) 3 grams of size 11 seed beads
4) 1- 13 mm drop for the bottom of the ornament
Feel free to bring something to eat or drink. I will bring cups, plates, and forks. I will also bring some Apple Cider.
The White Elephant Bead Swap is where everyone brings some beads that they would like to swap. Then all take a number and we swap beads. The first picks a bag and then the second can take the first bag or take a new bag. And so on, and so forth. Or we can just take a bag and all open them at the same time. We can decide at the meeting.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoys looking through their stash to find beads for the swap.
Have a good day and keep beading!
