Beaded Barrel Pendant (Directions for cancelled February Meeting)

Materials:

2” head pins, 12-20

Seed beads size 11-8

2- jump rings 8-12mm

Round nose plier

Chain nose plier

Flush cutter

Ruler

Sharpie

Bead mat

*Note: It is very important to keep everything even and consistent in this project.

  • Use your sharpie to mark the round nose pliers ¼ - ½“ from the tip.
  • Using that mark, make a loop in the end of a head pin.
  • Measure an inch from the bottom of the loop and mark the pin with the sharpie.
  • Cut the head off the pin and load a variety of beads to just cover the mark.
  • Now measure 3/8” from the end of the beads and mark it.
  • Cut the pin at that mark and make a loop using the same mark on the plier.
    • Make sure your loops open on the same side.
  • Build a pile of beaded pins and line them up on your mat.
  • When loading them onto your jump rings, make sure the openings of the loops all face the inside of the ring.
